Following the decision taken by the public authorities regarding the transition to the second stage of the “sanitary containment relief plan”, the National Office of Railways (ONCF) informs the general public that the Al Boraq line trains and Al Atlas ensuring inter-city services resume their circulation from Thursday, June 25, 2020, on the following axes:

Tangier – Casablanca
Fez- Casablanca- Marrakech
Casablanca – Nador, and Oujda
Casablanca – Safi and Khouribga
Tangier – Fez and Oujda.
Similarly, proximity trains (Fast Shuttle Trains: TNR) will be reinforced on the Casablanca-Settat, Casablanca-El Jadida, and Casablanca-Rabat-Kenitra links.

This program, comprising a daily supply of 116 trains combined with the reopening of stations, will be gradually adapted according to changes in demand.

It should be noted that the resumption of train traffic will be carried out in strict compliance with protection and health security measures. As such, the compulsory wearing of masks, respect for social distancing in stations and onboard trains, reinforced and continuous cleaning and disinfection of trains and shared spaces in stations, the provision of the gel-hydro alcoholic in stations and on trains …

In addition, and in order to regulate the frequency of trains and allow compliance with the rules of physical distance onboard, the Office applies the exceptional measure to reduce their sales and occupancy capacity to 50% during this phase and this, with the compulsory reservation on all trains.

Travelers are required to comply with the provisions laid down by the authorities with regard to the presentation of their National Identity Card when purchasing travel tickets. As a result, they are invited to purchase their tickets from Monday 22 June 2020 at stations and through the various ONCF sales channels.

It is strongly recommended to buy tickets via the ONCF merchant site (oncf-voyage.ma) and this, in the interests of saving time, the fluidity of flows in front of the sales counters within stations, and reservation of seats on the requested trains.

Regarding travel from stations in zone 2, they are subject, as ordered by the authorities, to the obligation to have a professional authorization or an exceptional authorization issued by the local authorities for reasons of force majeure.

To ensure compliance with protection and prevention measures, the ONCF has set up an appropriate system for providing information and assistance to passengers in all stations and on trains. In addition, it provides them with all the necessary information via the various official channels (websites, Customer Relations Center 2255, ONCF – TRAFIC mobile application and social media pages) to keep them constantly informed on trains as well as on all the measures taken and new travel rules to be observed.
